About the artist

Michael S. Helfenbein is a designer and illustrator working in Connecticut, and a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York City. His passion for painting and illustration spans traditional mediums and digital tools like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Now, AI technologies open new avenues for his artistic evolution and journey.

Artist Statement

Michael’s art encourages mindfulness, urging viewers to appreciate the magnificence of our world — and reminding us of life's impermanence and the need to cherish and protect our surroundings. He creates these unique collages using public domain images and generative AI. He then combines these by painting and drawing on them in Photoshop to create his final blended images.
